1080p Android set top box put on display

If you follow cell phones, you’ll know that one of the hottest operating systems on the market today is Google’s Android. The operating system has proven itself worthy on devices other than a cell phone such as netbooks. Well, it seems Android making another leap, this time into your home theater.

MIPS Technologies and Sigma Designs have recently put an Android based set top box on display, pictured above. What’s great about this device is that it features the ability to output video at a resolution of 1080p.

Unfortunately there are currently no plans to have this device hit store shelves but as always we will keep you updated.
