Daysis has recently come up with an exciting model, its DS220AP LCD Monitor. The new monitor features a panel resolution of 1680X1050, thickness 20.282 mm, Contrast ratio 1000:1, brightness 300cd/m2, speed of response 5ms, swivel stand, 160 degrees viewing angle, DVI AND D-Sub Sound. Sony’s latest release VRD-MC5, a successor to VRD-MC3, is the latest buzz in the town. The VRD-MC5 features a built in 2.5-inch LCD for viewing photos and operating menu settings. Kenwood has announced its new DivX Certified VDP-07 DVD Player. The Player comes with an on screen display (OSD) function which lets the users monitor various menu indications along with the track title, etc.. The DVD player is equipped to deliver the playback of DVD-VIDEO, VCD and JPEG, Dolby digital /dts/MP3/WMA/AAC, DVD±R/RW and CD-R/RW. Day System recently exhibited its 23-inch wide screen DAY232TP used as TV and LCD monitor in Korea market during LED EXPO&FPD KOREA 2007. Investigators at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and scientists from the University of Maryland and Howard University in Gaithersburg (MD) claim that they have formulated a technique to produce petite, highly efficient light-emitting diodes from nanowires that could be used in light-based nanotechnologies. This could be a massive step towards making of loads of nano-LEDs It is reported that the research group produced and tested more than 40 of these LEDs with similar emission properties and thermal stability.
