Buffalo Japanese Company recently introduced its 17-nch FTD-G722AS2S LCD Monitor in white color. The Monitor features a SXGA 1280×1024 high resolution, speed of response 8ms, high brightness 300cd/m square & high contrast 500: 1 with wide field of vision angle (the top and bottom 160° left and right 160°). It has a built-in stereo speaker (1W×2). ECO mode function makes FTD-G722AS2S consume less power befitting it to be called energy friendly. It leads to an approx. 30% cut down of power while in operation. Complying to ROHS order the Monitor is backed by a one year warranty. There is no word by the company regarding its price yet, but it is expected to be available at the end of this month. You can also get it in black color FTD-G722AS2BK.

Sony has announced that its latest interesting product DVP-FX860DT TV with built-in DVD will be available from September. TiVo Inc. recently announced a trimmed-down, less expensive version of its digital video recorder for high-definition televisions. The latest TiVo HD model has the capacity to record up to 20 hours of high-resolution TV signals. The company will ship the product during August at an expected price of $300. Another premium quality model Series3 HD Digital Media Recorder with the capacity to hold about 30 hours of HD programming is tagged $800.
