I bought 2 of these on Black Friday 2007. The 2500:1 contrast ratio has to be dynamic, it seems to have a much lower native contrast ratio, so the blacks aren't very deep. Most budget 22" panels are 700:1. You notice with a dark picture or a movie with letterboxing. But, when a picture comes into play, the screen is vibrant and seems to have a very broad range of color and brightness. It looks great, so you forget about the black level. It even looks amazing with my xbox 360 w/ vga cable hooked up, which supports either 1280x1024 or 1366x768 so either way the resolution is smoothed. It still looks amazing. Great for the price, don't expect miracles. =)
