AOpen has announced a new mini PC that will certainly be a good device to be used as a media centre.

The computer boasts a top-notch Blu-ray DVD drive that can read and record discs, and has Intel Monteniva as the platform.

Codenamed XC MP45-BDR, the limited edition computer supports HDCP Full High-Definition playback + 5.1 channel surround sound, and comes with 6 USB ports. In terms of RAM memory, the limit is 4GB of DDR2.

The built-in GMA XA4500M HD graphics engine is compatible with DirectX 10, which is more than enough to provide good image quality in movies and games.

The AOpen mini PC XC MP45-BDR will cost close to $550 and comes with a remote control that is compatible with Windows Vista Premium.
