Apple has come forth today to announce an addition to their Cinema Display line up with a 27-inch 16:9 display. This display features a massive 2560 x 1440 resolution with IPS technology making for an extremely wide viewing angle.

Additionally, Apple’s new Cinema Display features a built-in iSight webcam, a USB hub with 3 connections and a MagSafe AC adapter that will simply pop out when tripped over – something that has proven itself to be quite popular with Apple’s MacBook line up.

Apple has priced their new Cinema Display at $999 which may seem like a lot but Engadget HD points out that a similar display from Dell features a price tag of $1,099 so it seems that Apple isn’t overpricing this one too much.
