ASUS has recently announced the availability of its first LCD monitor featuring a built-in DisplayLink technology in the United States and Europe later this month. Sporting a 22-inch screen, ASUS VW223B will also be displayed at InfoComm 2008 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The ASUS VW223B LCD monitor allows up to six additional monitors to be networked together using a single PC equipped with USB ports. This new monitor from ASUS delivers 1680 x 1050 wide-screen resolution and a high 3000:1 contrast ratio. It ensures a smooth video display with its fast 5-millisecond response time.
“ASUS is one of the world’s leading LCD monitor manufacturers, so their commitment to bringing the simplicity of a USB graphics connectivity to the mass market is an important milestone for DisplayLink,” said Dennis Crespo, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at DisplayLink. “We’re confident that ASUS customers will truly enjoy and quickly benefit from the productivity enhancement provided by multiple USB-enabled displays.”
ASUS VW223B will be available for shipment in Asia, America and Europe from July 2008.
