Avid recently unveiled two new members of the Studiophile M-Audio Array. The newly announced CX-5 and CX-8 are mid range Monitor speakers. The Speakers serve as an option between the BX and Studiophile DSM Monitor Lines. Both speakers include silk-dome tweeters with kevlar lower-frequency subwoofers. Integrating “Waveguides“, the speakers deliver unbelievable sound quality in a larger area.

The CX-5 Monitor Speaker features a 5-inch driver with a frequency response of 50Hz to 38KHz. With an 8-inch driver, the CX-8  achieves a frequency of 38Hz to 38KHz. Other features included are rear panel trim controls, RCA inputs and Neutrick combo connectors.

Avid is tightlipped about their release dates however, the CX-5 will carry a price tag of $399 and the CX-8 will be available for $499, respectively.
