Blockbuster challenges Netflix with set-top boxBy Jeff Baker - 12/01/2008 12:57:43 PM |

It looks like Blockbuster is none too happy with Netflix having all of these content delivery devices like the Xbox 360 and TiVo and have decided to release their own box to combat them.
Produced by 2Wire the MediaPoint player is available to consumers for $99 dollars, with 25-prepaid movies included. Sounds great right? Once you run out of those 25 movies, you can rent additional movies ranging from prices of $1.99 to $3.99 which must be viewed withint 24 hours of purchase.
On the techincal front, the box can hold up to 5 full length movies, which you can watch with both Composite A/V cables, or an HDMI cable.
