Blu-ray discs make it to China

Everyone knows piracy of all shapes and sizes is most rampant in Asia, but Sony doesn’t care. They have recently announced that they will in fact be bringing legit Blu-ray discs to China.

Word from Sony comes to us after news of Blu-ray disguised DVD-R’s have been making their way around in the East.

Selling for around 205 yuan, or about 30-bucks, Sony is the first company to bring their HD movies to China. But what movies can our Asian friends expect? TechRadar tells us that a total of 30-titles will make the cut including:

Kung Fu Hustle
Hitch
Close Encounters Of The Third Kind

Any bets on how long until Sony withdraws from the country due to an increase in piracy since this announcement?
