Cablevision to host first 3D sports at home, an NHL hockey gameBy Mark Rollins - 03/19/2010 3:47:08 PM |

I can’t help but wonder if 3D TV is the next big thing that everyone says it will be. DirectTV is getting it, and Comcast wanted to broadcast the first 3D event, but it would appear that Cablevision is going to take the cake for that.
Cablevision wants to broadcast a Rangers/Islanders NHL matchup on iOTV channel 1300, as well as in a theater in Madison Square Garden. The company 3ality Digital is handling the 3D production, the same company that handled the BCS National Championship in 3D at CES 2009.
