Hitachi has proudly unveiled its newest 50-inch 1.5 ultra-thin Plasma Display at CEDIA 2008. Known as one of the world’s thinnest display, it supports only one-third the depth of other plasma displays already available in the market. The latest device is expected to be offered in a 50-inch screen size.

"The industry theme of ‘Thin is in’ continues apace and Hitachi was one of the first to propel this trend," said Daniel Lee, vice president of marketing for Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc. Teraokaseiko Co. Ltd. recently launched its new transparent touch display at Sign & Display Show 2008 in Tokyo. Operate the inorganic orange-colored monochrome electroluminescent panel by touching either side of display.

The display offers a resolution of 256 × 120 and transmittance of 51.2%. Use the touch panel display for maps and two-player games.
