LG Korea recently unveiled its Art Series LX97WH “dual” HD Format PC featuring 300 nits brightness, 2ms speed of response, higher contrast ratio of 5,000:1 and angle of visualization right and left 160 degree. It comes equipped with 320GB HDD and supports 3-D gaming capabilities. The LX97WH not only supports DVD and HD-DVD but also Blu-Ray. The PC comes in three color options including Silky Black, Snow White and Fantasy Red. LG’s latest launch is based on the A10 featuring with a Core 2 Duo CPU, an Nvidia Geforce 8 series video card. LG LX97WH Art Series PC is expected to reach stores during October at 1800000 won whereas only the A10 would cost you 1500000 won.

Toshiba rolls out two high memory capacity 2.5 type 320GB HDDs

Toshiba’s latest high memory capacity 2.5 type 320GB HDDs have become a hot topic these days. The company claims that 320GB MK3252GSX is the industry’s largest memory capacity 2.5 type disk featuring rpm 7 and 200 revolutions/minute. Toshiba’s MK3252GSX delivers improved performance and recording density due to its enhanced magnetic head along with improved magnetic layer of the disk. It brother MK2049GSY features bulk buffer memory of 16MB besides the rpm of the disk in 7 and 200 revolutions,/minute. The enhanced buffer rate reduces the random waiting time. Both models conform to RoHS order and are thus eco-friendly. Interested people can view it at Berlin (Germany) IFA2007 from August 31st to September 5th and DISKCON USA 2007 on September 19th.

Sarotech recently exhibited its interesting line-up for 2H in Korea. There are three models in this line including external HDD Cutie slim FHD-259U, photo storage DSR-281Plus and DivX player abigs DVP-570HD Lite.

The Cutie slim FHD-259U is a cute notebook justifying its name. The notebook features 12.5mm-thick silm size and 120GB storage capacity. It is expected to be available at a suggested price of 132,000(KRW).

Samsung’s MH80 FlashON Hybrid Hard Disk Drive

samsung-logo.jpgHitachi introduced its 1 TB Deskstar and Cinemastar with a bang at the Computex, on the other hand Samsung recently brought out its 1 TB HDD with a whimper. The reason may be because the HDD is not so special. It has got 3 (three) 334 GB platters which enable that certain storage space. The new HDD is nicknamed SpinPoint F1 HD103UJ. It features 7200rpm, SATA 3.0Gbps interface and returns an average read seek time of 8.9ms. Nothing is known about the price and availability yet.

It has the 12GB storage capacity to carry large amount of data on the go. It has length under 5 cm and is very light in weight. It measures just 44.5 x 49.5 x 12 mm (LWH). LED display adores this convenient and flexible HDD. Although the synchronized backup software is Windows compatible only, Mini Cube supports Windows 98+, Mac OS 9.x+ and Linux 2.4+.
