Samsung Series 5 550 Plasma TV

Samsung has released its all new Plasma TV collection named as Series 5 550. These Plasma HDTVs incorporate Full HD 1080p technology to take home entertainment to the next level. Integrating state of the art technologies with chic look Series 5 550 HDTVs employ Samsung’s proprietary DNIe+ (Digital Natural Imaging engine).According to Steve Panosian director of Visual Display Marketing at Samsung Electronics America, “The Series 5 550 Plasma represents Samsung’s desire to provide a powerful plasma display for consumers that offers top picture quality, higher-end features and a modern-looking design without going above and beyond their home theater budget.”

The latest line up by Samsung is compatible with contemporary movies and video games. Series 5 550 features Natural True Color 18-bit processing, dynamic contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000:1 and Samsung’s FilterBright anti-glare technology to deliver images that appear like reality.

The Series 5 550 Plasma is shipping in two size options: 50-inch (PN50A550 priced $2,299) and 58-inch (PN58A550 priced $3,599).

Mitsubishi announces new multi-dimensional HDTVs for 2008

Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America unveiled its treasure of latest multi-dimensional HDTVs for the year 2008. Taking TV viewing to heights the new models offer high performance. These LCD HDTVs bear a thin bezel design. The company has launched the industry’s largest DLP HDTV available at 73″. Besides this there are 60″ and 65″ sizes models in the new Series. The Series feature 6-Color Processor(TM), 3D-ready capability, increased brightness and thinner frames.

Mitsubishi’s Diamond DLP HDTV line features Smooth120Hz(TM) and Dark Detailer with a high gloss design and Blue Light Accent. You can get the new DLP models in early April at following prices:

Samsung’s HL-T5055W 50-inch widescreen DLP HDTV

Designed in sensual piano black, 0.9″-thin bezel, the HDTV very well complements the interior décor of your room. The smart looking energy-efficient 50″ DLP® HDTV gives out an astonishing high-definition experience to its viewers, as it produces pictures in dramatic color and clarity. The HDTV employs SAMSUNG’s 720p light engine. The HL-T5055W boasts a contrast ratio 2,500:1 and Aspect Ratio 16:9. The HDTV measures 45.4″ x 32.3″ x 15.1″ (inch) and weighs 62.8 Lbs. Samsung has not yet revealed the pricing and date of availability of the product till now.

Hitachi 1.5-inch (35mm) Ultra Thin HDTV

Hitachi is well known for unveiling breathtaking consumer electronic products. Keeping with the latest trend that has captured the minds of people i.e. Ultra Slim TVs, Hitachi rolled out its latest line up of 1.5-inch (35mm) Ultra Thin HDTV’s. Sony W5000 TV

With a release date of November 10th 2007, the W Series Bravia’s offer a full HD 1080p resolution 10bit LCD panel, with 500cd/m2 brightness, 2,200:1 contrast ratio for the 40 and 46 inch, while the 52inch has a 2,000:1 ratio.

Vivid colors are produced through the use of a wide color gamut backlight, and combining x.v.Color with sony’s live color creation. 24p is supported for direct viewing of 24fps frame rates for the original film frames per second for no jagging. 120Hz high frame rates (MotionFlow) are supported for reducing jagging and motion blur on high motion scenes.
