Sometimes, the most amazing thing you can do with a home theater setup is to just make it as big as possible. And for the home theater drive in, that’s exactly what they did.
Let’s get one thing perfectly clear right from the outset–this is a home theater setup writ so large that it uses an entire fifty eight hundred square foot house for a screen. It is patently monstrous. Though there aren’t a whole lot of details about the audio equipment–you know there has to be some serious speaker wattage pouring out to overcome that massive open air problem. Either that or there’s headphones adjacent to every seat, which is a distinct possibility.
As fundamentally awesome as this setup is, on an operational level, I can’t imagine it working. One, you could pretty much only use it at night. Daylight sun would all but prevent the screen from being visible. Two, any time it rains, you couldn’t use this theater because there appears to be no provision made for inclement weather.
It’s a sweet setup, make no mistake about it, but its limits must be observed and noted.

Audiophiles put a heavy premium on the sound quality that they can get out of their home theater setups and this includes the earphones or headphones that they use. And now, these new Monster Turbine Pro Headphones should give in to their demands. The Monster headphones were made to deliver the same level of quality that record engineers, performer and producers get from a studio setup on a bigger and wider range of monitor speakers.
The Monster Turbine Pro headphones will be available starting November in two designs: gold with black chrome and copper with bright chrome. They will retail for $299.95.

The headline may well sound like so much overblown hyperbole, folks, but it’s true–according to a poll over at CNET, most people do NOT listen to music in their home theatres, but rather in one way or another on the go.
The current poll is nearly a three way tie between “on my iPod”, “on my computer”, or “in my car”, and each of them is leading “on my home theatre / stereo” by a factor of two to one.
I admit that it makes sense–when I’m putting my home theatre to work it’s not to play music, but rather to watch movies or TV. Why use the incredible power of a home theatre setup on music, when fully half your system is unused? I don’t need a projector and hundred inch screen to listen to Danny Kaye and the Andrews Sisters wail away on Civilization unless Fallout 3 is involved. It’s a waste, and most people have probably latched onto this fact, which in turn drives the poll.

One of the most sought after accessories today is the Bluetooth headset. Most electronic devices in the hands of the masses include Bluetooth technology, even Apple’s iPhone and iPods have it. These headsets allow users to avoid wires that could be caught or are just in the way.
That said, there are several Bluetooth headsets that have been rated highly by CNet and other consumer groups.
