Mpio Japanese Company recently announced its triangle shaped portable audio player FL500. It is expected to hit the markets on June 22nd. It will be available in two flash memory types viz. 1GB with price tag 6,980 Yen and 2GB with price tag of 8,980 Yen. Mpio FL500 Audio Player supports OS Windows Me/2000/XP and Mac OS X 10.2/10.3/10.4. With a built in microphone voice recording with WAV (ADPCM) type is possible. Also you can use FM tuner to record with WAV type. Lithium ion built-in battery delivers a continuous playback of maximum approximately 15 hours. It also gets charged with supply of electricity from the USB port. Supported music formats are MP3 (8 - 320kbps) /WMA (32 - 320kbps), WMA and DRM 10.

The ideology behind this innovation is to replace mouse and keyboard by more natural interaction using voice, pen and touch. Microsoft Surface has a 30-inch display under a hard-plastic tabletop. The Toshiba Gigabit V801 has got an 80 GB hard drive and the V401 comes with a 40GB hard-drive. Both new Toshiba Gigabit players support a 4 inch QVGA color screen. In these devices with the new H2C technology the sound is believed to be enhanced by adding back frequencies that are lost during compression of WMA and MP3 files. The new Toshiba Gigabit V-series players support WMA, WMA 9 lossless, MP3 and Wav audio formats as well as WMV video format. Measurements of the V401 are 124.5×75.5×18mm and the V801 is 6mm thicker. Both new Toshiba Gigabit portable media players would be available to the users by June, 2007.

    samsung_led_lcdtv.jpgSamsung Korea has developed its innovative White LED module of the LED BLU (Back Light Unit and the illuminant) and has announced the availability of its 40 inches model from next month. Premium class model is invested with white LEDs with single diodes custom-coated to develop the same backlight antecedently that used combinations of red, green, and blue bulbs. Samsung assumes that by 2010, 30% of all LCD televisions will include LED backlights instead of the conventional fluorescent. Samsung applied White LED in the BLU and noticed a reduction of 40% cost. When the product will be finally launched in the market, and consumers use it, then it will be known whether Samsung is true in its claiming or is just boasting.

    Pioneer’s New Flat Panel Televisions with Game-Changing Technology

    Here is an update on Pioneer’s New Flat Panel Televisions with Game-Changing Technology. The model names are finally out in press release by the company. Eight new models ranging in size from 42-inches to 60-inches screen sizes will be available at the beginning of next month. Pioneer has named the project as Project KURO.

    Pioneer PDP-4280HD is a 42-inch TV with XGA Resolution priced $2,700 available in June.

    Pioneer PDP-5080HD is a 50-inch TV with XGA Resolution priced $3,500 available in June.
