conduant-2.jpgThe leading developer of direct-to-disk, long duration recording and playback systems, Conduant Corporation, recently introduced its all new Big River LTX2 data recorder. The new recorder offers the user over 480 Mbytes/second recording and playback performance. The recorder is designed in a portable and compact shape. The data recorder can function as an unconnected system with network control or can also be unswervingly linked to a host computer via its Star Fabric PCI link interface. The product requires only 120 Watts and a DC power source of 12 Volts and can then operate independently from a host PC over an Ethernet connection. With this data recorder a fixed Web server is included for easy internet browser- based control if preferred. The Big River LTX2 data recorder system is rack mountable and has symmetric mass allocation for uncomplicated shock/vibration separation and mounting. In addition, nearly all in-house cables have been eliminated for enhanced consistency, ease of assemblage and motorized robustness. The pricing for the Big River LTX2 of Conduant Corporation starts at around $28,000 for a 1.6 Terabyte system. There is no word about the availability of the product till now.
