Control4, a leading manufacturer of affordable IP-based home control and entertainment systems, has announced the new Control4 Home Controller HC-200. Considered as the first sub-$ 500 home controller, this new product was recently exhibited at CEDIA Expo 2008.

The HC-200 Home Controller features an on-screen HD enhanced Control4 graphic interface. With this new product you get a SR 150 RF remote that helps you to control AV equipment, HVAC lighting and other systems. It sports a sleek and small design and supports Standard Ethernet and ZigBee communications.

"We believe the HC-200 sets a new standard of affordability for home automation," said Will West, Chief Executive Officer of Control4. "The evolution of our Home Controller line highlights Control4’s commitment to providing flexible alternatives to fit the different needs of homeowners and in the case of the HC-200 will open the door to new customers who are ready for something more capable than a simple universal remote."

The new Control4 Home Controller HC-200 will be ready for shipping in November 2008 at a price of $ 499.
