DirecTV to Merge with Liberty Entertainment

I don’t know if you were waiting for this to happen or not but Liberty Entertainment will be merging with DirecTV, a company which it already controls. Liberty Entertainment will hold 54% of DirecTV, 65% interest in the Game Show Network, three regional sports networks and more. The move will be completed by the end of the year and it shouldn’t affect in any way DirecTV’s consumers. And in case Liberty Entertainment sounds familiar it’s because its parent company, Liberty Media, was the one that saved Sirius XM from bankruptcy a while ago.
