Flex Lighting to Help Produce Thinner LCD TVs

By Brian - 01/04/2010 5:40:57 AM

If all this bragging by Flex Lighting is true, we may just see a lot of new LCD TVs coming out at the CES 2010 sporting a thinner frame. Thanks to their new method of producing LED backlights, the procedure calls for coupling LEDs to a flexible film lightguide used to produce edgeless LED/LCD TV sets.

Thanks to its flexibility as well, this new technology can produce roll-to-roll manufacturing which can produce cost-efficient LED lighting in TV sets. The ultra-thin lighting technology can also be used to produce flexible banner advertising.
