Fujitsu Siemens Ships World’s First Zero-Watt Monitor

Fujitsu Siemens Computers has recently announced that it will start shipping world’s first zero-watt monitor. Featuring the new power-saving technology, the zero-watt monitor will be on sale in the SCENICVIEW Premium Line ECO range. Incorporating the patent-pending zero-watt power save technology, the new Fujitsu Siemens monitor provides 16 hours standby throughout the year. It works on a new technology that has the power to save UK businesses £168,000 per year. Its display comprises of a switching element in the power supply that is controlled by the PC.

The ECO monitor launched by Fujitsu Siemens feature DisplayView AutoBright functionality that controls brightness automatically. It provides a 1680 x 1050 pixels resolution. The ECO monitor is available at a price starting from 419€ for the 20-inch model.
