Google and TiVo Partner Up for a Brighter Future

It looks like Google and TiVo are ready to partner up for a brighter future. I am talking about their future of course, but a future that will impact ours as well. It seems that the two companies have announced a data-sharing partnership. In other words Google will access TiVo’s viewing data and it will be able to analyze it properly. The advertisers that buy ads through Google will pay only for the ads the consumers do watch which seems fair to advertisers but won’t be very popular for networks. It remains to be seen how this deal will impact the way we watch TiVo content but we just thought it’s only fair for TiVo users to know that Google is watching the way their watching TV now.
