Corning Inc., the world leader in specialty glass and ceramics, at the Display Week 2008 conference to be held on May 18-23, is going to introduce the Corning® Green Laser G-1000. This Green Laser G-1000 will be one of the most highly efficient, high speed and small size devices that can be integrated into laser-based micro-projectors for embedded handsets and other mobile devices.
Thomas Mills the business director of Green Lasers is of the view that "Corning’s Green Laser G-1000 enables brighter, more vibrant, full-color images and a much longer battery life than LED-based solutions. Green laser technology truly creates a new user experience – one where consumers can view, share and interact with mobile multi-media content such as user-generated images and video, mobile television and internet."
Two presentations to be held in the conference will unveil the superb features and functioning of this magnificent device. These presentations will contain descriptions on the creation of high-quality images by the Green Laser G-1000 and will also highlight how adaptive optics can help deliver robust and stable performance in a mobile device that is subjected to daily handling and indoor/outdoor conditions. An added honor to this device is that the paper which is going to highlight on its indoor/outdoor handling has been awarded the “Distinguished Contributed Paper" designation by the 2008 SID International Symposium.
Till date Corning has been supplying its Green Laser products in North America and Asia only, but very soon users from all over the world can avail its new launch Green Laser G-1000.
