Haier’s display at CES 2010 is very, very wirelessBy Mark Rollins - 01/13/2010 7:47:13 PM |
Haier’s new television display at CES 2010 was so wireless, that it didn’t even need a power cord. That isn’t a joke, by the way, for Haier’s TV has some coil that is 1 x 1 foot in the back, and somehow receives power from one meter away. As for the video, why that is also sent wirelessly from the Wireless Home Digital Interface (WHDI) from about 100 feet away. The footage is 1080p at 3Gbps.
Clearly, more wireless is the way of the future all right, and it looks like Haier took it one step higher.
