Now here’s something a bit strange, do you remember Harman Kardon’s debut Blu-ray player, the BDP-10? Well, the Woodbury, Newyork based company has announced they will be bringing the same player to the States as the BDP-1. Why they decided to drop the 0, I don’t know but let’s take a look at the specs.

The BDP-1 will, of course, feature full 1080p output and BD-Live. Additionally the player will include USB, HDMI and Ethernet ports, an IR remote in/out ports and optical/coaxial audio outputs.

Harman Kardon’s BDP-1 is essentially top of the line so expect to pay top price for it; $499.
