HDMI 1.4 Standard to Support 3D BroadcastingBy Brian - 12/25/2009 2:55:43 PM |

The much anticipated coming of 3D broadcasting continues and HDMI licensing is exhausting all means to make themselves ready to support 3D content using the upcoming HDMI spec v1.4. Though nothing definite has been relayed on the mandatory 3D broadcast format, HDMI 1.4 is trying to establish some protocols which include the frame, line or field alternative methods like side by side display and 2D plus depth methods.
Given those specs, you can bet that a lot of HDMI 1.4-equipped devices will be showcased at the CES 2010 as manufacturers anticipate the coming of 3D broadcasting soon.
