Hitachi has proudly unveiled its newest 50-inch 1.5 ultra-thin Plasma Display at CEDIA 2008. Known as one of the world’s thinnest display, it supports only one-third the depth of other plasma displays already available in the market. The latest device is expected to be offered in a 50-inch screen size.

"The industry theme of ‘Thin is in’ continues apace and Hitachi was one of the first to propel this trend," said Daniel Lee, vice president of marketing for Hitachi Home Electronics (America), Inc. "Hitachi’s goal is to offer consumers more choice and greater flexibility. That means LCD or plasma.”

Hitachi is one of the top most manufacturers of thinnest displays, and it has come at foremost to demonstrate an UltraThin Plasma Display. The new Hitachi ultra-thin PDP comes with multitalented features, as well as advanced technologies to provide user with ultimate experience.
