HP has just announced a new Pavilion Elite m9600 desktop series and four new monitors which would go very well together. The base configuration of the desktop will get you a Core i7 920 2.66GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GS and a DVD burner and it will cost you just $950. If you want to upgrade all that you can get up to a Core i7 940 2.93GHz processor, 12GB of RAM, two 1TB hard drives, a 1GB ATI Radeon HD 4850 card and a Blu-ray burner.

As for the new monitors they are all 16:9 monitors and they are priced from $170 to $300: the 18.5-inch w1858, 20-inch 2009m, 21.5-inch 2159m and 23-inch w2338h. Ready to get any of that?
