Integrated Device Technologies plans to incorporate the new Solar cells in LCDs. Yes, you heard it right, the company is planning to start the mass production of these new panels after observing the popularity of the interactive screens. iScreens.
The new Solar Cells LCDs from the house of IDT will save up to 30% of the manufacturing costs by reducing the need of the additional film or glass components along with labor.
The TFT array layer in these Solar Cells LCDs will be different than the traditional touch screen panels, as during the panel making of these new LCDs, both the thickness as well as the weight has been reduced.
