Insignia NS50P650A11 Television Review–Great Priced Plasma

You’ve got to love the Insignia line of home theater gear, folks–if for no other reason than they have been known to offer some really exciting products at good values.  Today we’re going to be talking about a strange contradiction in products, the Insignia NS-50P650A11.

The Insignia NS-50P650A11 is a fifty inch 720p plasma television with 3D Y/C digital comb filter, SRS TruSurround, two HDMI inputs, one composite video input, one PC audio input, two component video inputs, one analog audio output, one optical digital audio output, and two ten watt speakers.

Okay, first off, yes, it’s only 720p.  This IS inherently lower video quality than most any 1080p system by virtue of the terms.  And though the speakers are only ten watt speakers, they do have that additional augmentation of SRS TruSurround which certainly helps.  But there are plenty of inputs here for most every kind of component, old or new, and the price is absolutely amazing at just eight hundred dollars.

It’s an exciting value, even if it’s not the greatest plasma television you’ll ever see, it may well be one of the best priced systems you’ll find.  So if you’re in the market, the Insignia NS-50P650A11 could be worth a look.
