Today, Intel released a new CPU called the Core i7 970. According to Ubergizmo, it was quietly launched on the consumer market earlier this morning. They also report that the CPU might be ideal for delivering features such as video compression, 3D offline rendering and high speed performance for a PC. Furthermore, this microprocessor is packing 6 cores, 3.2Ghz and multi-threading. However, you may be better off settling for the 4-core model of the Core i7 if you’re looking to assemble a gaming system. Nevertheless, the Intel Core i7 970 6-Core CPU is available for $900.
