ioSafe Solo External HDD Is Waterproof and FireproofBy DaX - 01/13/2009 6:11:34 PM |

When’s the last time your external hard drive got burned? Submersed under water? Most of us didn’t have such experiences yet but in case we will want to keep our data protected even when its under water or surrounded by flames then we should get that new HDD from ioSafe.
$199 will get us a 500GB model but if we’re willing to spend that much then we’d better get the 1.5TB model which costs $349. The external HDD in the picture will survive for three days in ten feet of water or 30 minutes in a great fire. Oh and the Solo isn’t the name of the hard drive itself. That’s the name of the case which will protect the drive. Inside there’s actually a Western Digital or Seagate drive.
