JVC CU-VS100 plays only SD cards

Well, I guess it was bound to happen one day, but JVC’s CU-VS100 is designed to play nothing but SD cards. I guess that I didn’t realize that most people put their media on SD/SDHC, and want it on their TV, or else JVC would not make such a device.

The CU-VS100 has to connected to the television via HDMI 1.3a, and you can view content from a memory card to see content in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264, MPEG-2 TS, MPEG-2 PS formats, not to mention AVCHD, JPEGS, and music files like MP3 and WMA.

It even comes with a remote, and will go on sale in Japan next week for a price of $220.
