JVC Unveils First Blu-Ray Player

JVC has announced that its first blu-ray player, the JVC XV-PB1 will be hitting the market this March. The set price for this low-profile unit has been set at $299.95 which also offers BD Live compatibility and AVCHD playback.

Among the many features of the new JVC XV-BP1 Blu-ray player include BD Live (Profile ver. 2.0) compatibility when used with a USB memory. With BD Live compatibility the blu-ray player can connect to the Internet and access BD Live 2.0 features, including easy firmware updates, new movie trailers, updated subtitles, online shopping, chat and gaming.

Among the formats that the JVC XV-BP1 Blu-ray player supports include JPEG, MP3, WMA, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, DTS and DTS HD.
