For those that want better 3D might want to look into what LG is doing with its FPR.

FPR stands for Film-type Pattenred Retarder, and will supposedly “reduce the weight of 3D glasses, kill flickering images and deliver a brighter screen”. This could definitely improve the 3D content.

Believe it or not, it will also reduce eyestrain. No more complaints about how those glasses hurt anymore.
