LG investing heavily in 3D HDTV units and content in the next two yearsBy Mark Rollins - 12/15/2009 7:06:21 PM |
LG is predicting that televisions with 3D are really going to take off. In fact, they are planning on investing in about 400,000 3D units in 2010, and a whopping 3.4 million in 2011.
There will be a lot of range on these units in the next two years, with television sets from 42 to 72 inches. Also, LG is partnering with SkyLife to create some serious 3D content that consumers will want to see, and be willing to shell out their money for. I guess it’s official. Home 3D is here, whether we like it or not.
