LG has developed the thinnest LCD ever. The new panels measure just 5.9mm in thickness and they come in 42- or 47-inch models. The previous record holder was a JVC LCD that measured 7mm in thickness and weight 5kg. The new LG will weigh 6.1 and 7.3kg respectively and they will offer 120Hz refresh and 80% of the NTSC color gamut. We don’t have more details yet and we’ll be curios to see how much LG will be charging for the new LCDs.
