These are the Libratone Beat speakers, on display at IFA, of course.
The Libratone Beat are “the world’s first high-end active speaker with wireless technology”, which has one 5-inch bass, two 3-inch midrange drivers, as well as two 1-inch ribbon based tweeters.
You can stream audio over its proprietary transmission technology at a distance of about 50 feet. You have a dongle to communicate with the speaker for the iPod/iPhone/iPad.
They should be available in January for $655.
