Movie Theaters to Use Infrared Light to Stop Piracy Recordings
Whether we like to admit it or not, we have all seen at least one poorly recorded movie. And I am talking of course about pirate recordings made in movie theaters. And it looks like there might be a solution to fight against those recordings. Whether we like it or not, Japan’s National Institute of Informatics has put Sharp in charge of developing that solution. And Sharp delivered. All that has to be done in order to ruin forever these recordings is to place infrared lights behind the screens. The light will go through the tiny holes in the screens made for the passage of the sound and thus the pirate videos will be compromised.
