Netflix Updates PS3 App With Search Function Capability

Previously, Netflix’s streaming application on the PS3 didn’t include a search option, so users had to scroll through specific genre categories and recommendation lists for movies outside of Netflix’s film roster. But now the streaming company has remedied this flaw in the app with a timely update. Thus, PS3 owners can now do a search of Netflix’s entire movie collection more efficiently by simply typing out the title of a film. Netflix also intends to add a similar update to the X-Box version of their streaming application this November. But personally, I have to wonder why the company didn’t think to have a search option on their app sooner. There are probably plenty of PS3 and X-Box owners also asking themselves this question concerning that such a feature should be obvious as a desirable option for a streaming application, even on a game console.
