Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. recently launched “ML673520A” large scale integrated chip to enable 3track simultaneous playback and high speed digital recording. Specifically designed for automotive systems, the chip enhances recording and compressing digital audio by ten times.
“The ML673520A is a system LSI based on OKI’s strong track record and skills in designing high-function LSIs. It provides an excellent solution for automotive systems as the market shifts to digital audio,” said Hiroshi Enomoto, President of Silicon Solutions Company at OKI. “For nearly 30 years OKI has been offering automotive system semiconductors for engine control and car navigation systems, and has been developing LSIs for portable audio players to handle digital audio data for consumer electronics.”
You can now record a CD with double speed and playback upto 3 different digital audio files, thanks to the improved audio DSP technology. Do not get forced to listen to the songs of driver’s choice. Connect the SD cards or other storage devices through USB2.0 and enjoy the audio data stored on them.
You can also use it in stand by mode resulting in low power consumption. While the sample shipments will happen in August, the bulk shipment will happen in Dec, 2008 this year with no word of mouth on price.
