The THX certified TX-SR608 A/V receiver by Onkyo is grabbing utmost attention compared to other latest home theater receiver and home theater in a box system introduced by the company recently. Being "world’s first THX certified 3D-ready A/V receiver" is definitely one unique aspect that makes the TX-SR608 A/V receiver best of its kind.
The TX-SR608 is a 3D-ready 7.2 channel receiver that uses a three-stage Darlington output topology that helps increase power from 90 to 100 watts. The receiver uses Dolby PLIIz capability along with an Audyssey DSX dimensional sound processor and 192-kHz/24-bit Burr-Brown PCM1690 DAC’s. Besides, it decodes lossless Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio bitstreams. The receiver supports 1080p upscaling via HDMI and PC input. In addition, it also includes a front HDMI input.
Priced at $599, the Onkyo TX-SR608 A/V receiver will be available in April.
