Onkyo is pleased to announce its latest THX and DLNA 1.5 Certified Blu-ray Disc Player, the BD-SP808. The player supports an array of state of the art technology that allows it to deliver best of both worlds.

The superior build quality of the BD-SP808 offers a robust and versatile playback solution for Blu-ray, CD and DVD. The highly rigid chassis construction and a balanced, center-mounted drive mechanism help minimize harmful vibrations. Besides, the Ethernet port enables interactive Profile 2.0 BD-Live features such as web-sourced firmware updates and picture-in-picture. Other features of the player include an SD card slot for playback of downloaded web content or stills and video from a digital camera, HDMI Source Direct mode for optional external processing, Video On Demand, Marvel Qdeo video scaler and studio-master quality Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio sound.

Priced at MSRP of $599, the Onkyo BD-SP808 Blu-ray Disc Player will be available in September.
