Just a few days back Onkyo unfurled its three receivers. It seems like Onkyo is on the ball. The company recently announced the launch of its latest HTX-22HD surround system. This 2.1 receiver boasts Surround Sensation. This technology lets the device deliver 5.1 ch surround sound using only two speakers and a subwoofer.

Onkyo claims that the HTX-22HD is the first receiver to employ this advanced technology. Improving the dialogue clarity, bass enhancement, and sound stage expansion, the HTX-22HD surround system bears some traits of Onkyo’s other receivers such as an onboard decoder for Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS-HD. It is also provided with two HDMI inputs and one output.

It comes loaded with Audyssey 2EQ set-up system plus Dynamic EQ, Vector Linear Shaping Technology, and Remote Interactive over HDMI. You can get the Onkyo HTX-22HD surround system by shelling out £300. It will be available next month. You can also get the optional SKS-11 centre/surround package for £100.
