Panasonic recently unveiled its two new models of Write-Once Blu-ray Discs (BD-R) with 4x writing speed. The latest discs will be available in two storage capacities viz. 25GB and 50GB. 25GB LM-BR25LDE discs will ship this moth whereas 50GB LM-BR50LDE during September. Disc features Laser Wavelength 405nm (Blue-violet Laser), Blu-ray Disc Recordable Format Ver. 1.2, 120mm x 1.2mm Disc Diameter/Thickness, Track Pitch 0.32 um ad Data Transfer Speed 36Mbps(1x) /  72Mbps(2x)  /  144Mbps(4x). The new discs ensure high reliability and a high quality recording as error rate is reduced to 1/10 that of a conventional Disc.
