Panasonic DMP-BD50 Blu Ray Player gets DivX Certification

DivX, Inc., a digital media company, has recently announced the DivX Certification of a new Blu-ray Disc Player from Panasonic, the DMP-BD50. Considered as the first DivX Certified Blu-ray model to be shipped to the U.S. Market as well as in Europe, DMP-BD50 is Panasonic’s third generation Blu-ray player.

"DivX is dedicated to bringing a high-quality digital experience to any device and we are thrilled to continue this drive within the Blu-ray market by extending DivX Certification to the Panasonic DMP-BD50," said Kevin Hell, Chief Executive Officer, DivX, Inc. "We have achieved considerable success in the DVD category, becoming a standard checklist feature."

The Panasonic DMP-BD50 features the new BD-Live function that allows consumers to enhance their entertainment experience through the Internet. This new product has undergone a series of testing programs to ensure security, visual quality and interoperability.

    Panasonic definitely produces high quality Blu-ray products, and this model of player is no different. I believe its actually one of their better selling models at the moment.
