Panasonic SC-BT330 Home Theater Review–A Good Quality PieceBy Steve Anderson - 07/29/2010 12:01:15 AM |
Panasonic has given us access to a lot of home theater products, and for the most part they’ve been pretty solid. Some, of course, have been better than others, but the Panasonic SC-BT330 is better than several others I’ve seen.
The Panasonic SC-BT330 is a thousand watt, 5.1 channel home theater system that offers a Blu-ray player, Internet connectivity for access to the huge variety of content on YouTube, Netflix and others, a variety of surround sound decoders including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio Essential, among others, a variety of playback options, wireless-ready rear speakers (you’ll need an adapter, though), a two hundred fifty watt subwoofer, iPod and iPhone compatible (with iPod dock), one HDMI output, and digital noise reduction.
I definitely enjoyed the sound quality on this one, and the controls weren’t terribly difficult to work with. Those thousand watts do a great job of putting out sound. The addition of an iPod dock makes things a little extra versatile. The price will likely make bargain hunters balk a bit at five hundred bucks out at Best Buy, but that’s actually not terrible for a Blu-ray system with so much utility.
The Panasonic SC-BT330 offers a lot of versatility and good quality sound, which makes it a very worthwhile piece of hardware. If you’re looking to change up or add on to a home theater system, then this is a great place to start looking.
