In January, both Panasonic and LG made a promise that they would build a Skype function into their future TVs. They are keeping their promise with the TY-CC10W.

All that is required of the user is to plug it into the USB 2.0 port of their VIERA web-enabled TV. The camera has a 1/4 CMOS sensor and four microphones. You can use a Skype account to enable video chat at 1,280 x 720 at 22 fps.

Panasonic will sell the TY-CC10W in Japan on June 11 for a price of $190. Now, let’s see what LG comes up with.
