Paramount to release Sapphire Series of Blu-ray titles

Just in case the sound and picture quality of your current line up of Blu-rays isn’t high enough, Paramount will give buyers the option of the all new Sapphire Series.

This Sapphire Series will include classics such as Gladiator, Forrest Gump and Braveheart. EngadgetHD reports that Braveheart will feature Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio while Gladiator will sport DTS-HD MA. Of course, all three discs will be loaded with a bunch of extras and special features that fans of the movies will be happy to view.

There’s currently no official word on just how much these special releases will cost but Amazon has them up for pre-order at $27.99.
