Philips has released its 2010 LED TV series with the 7000, 8000 and 9000 series. All the sets come with improved energy efficiency and a version of Philips’ Ambilight Spectra which projects ambient light onto the wall behind the TV to match the dominant color onscreen. The new TV line will also include Net TV for videos on demand over the Internet.
These new LED TV sets were unveiled at the Winter Media Event in Barcelona and will be available this year. For pricing, the 40” TV from the 7000 Series will retail for about $1,500 and succeeding model prices will adjust from there.
